The cards from the 1909 T206 Set were printed over a period of three years, starting in 1909 and running through 1911.



Leo's long and exciting career as player and manager. reached its peak as "Lippy" led his Giants to a never-to-be-forgotten pennant triumph over the Dodgers in '51. In 12 seasons as a manager he has won 2 pennants, finished 2nd 3 times and 3rd 4 times. In '41 he led the Dodgers to their first pennant in 20 years. He was a shortstop on the Yankees of the Ruthian era and was a famed member of the Cardinal "Gas House" Gang before coming to the Dodgers as a player-manager.



"Hoop" was the workhorse of the A's mound staff in '52. There were only 3 pitchers in the AL that pitched in more games than he did during the season. He spent 3 years in the Service after being signed at a Giant tryout session. In '48 he led the Sally League with a 20-8 record for Jacksonville. Moving up to the International League in '50, Bob compiled a League-Leading record of 19-3. He came to the Indians late in '52.
