Born Verdun, Que., Mar. 23, 1932. 5'10", 160. Shoots left. Don's a versatile forward who plays at all three positions and can kill penalties too. Rangers acquired him in summer swap with Montreal. He's smart and shifty.

Blake, who went straight from Bowling Green State University to the NHL is a tough defenseman, with a wicked shot from the point. He was named the Kings' Most Outstanding Defense for the second consecutive season. Blake has improved in every facet of the game since joining the NHL. He registered five power play goals last season.

The number one netminder for the Canucks, McLean is one of the most technically sound goaltenders in the league. He has great lateral movement and plays a classic standup style. He led Vancouver to its second consecutive Smythe Title last season.
