Football Card Trivia
Coffee Talk Name that player!
One of Northwestern University's athletic immortals is Luke Johnsos, who won nine varsity letters during his college career, including awards in football, basketball, baseball and track. As an end of the Chicago Bears since 1930, he is a splendid pass catcher, scoring two touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers in a championship game in his first professional year. Now, reaching the end of his career as a player he is following the footsteps of Red Grange in becoming an assistant coach to the Bears.
Talk about "old faithful," Bill led Minnesota in rushing last year again. The powerhouse back holds the club records for career yardage in rushing and with 40 TD's scored. Bill was acquired in a trade from the Chicago Bears.
For the fourth straight year, Larry was named all-League outside linebacker. He has showed-up the skeptics by overcoming his lack of bulk with agressiveness, agility, and fast reflexes. Larry's top thrill in pro ball was intercepting a pass and running it back for a touchdown in the 1963 A.F.L. All-Star Game.
