Jim was one of the main reasons for the Los Angeles Dodgers success last year. The Rookie amazed everybody with sparkling plays in the field. Although Jim didn't compile a high average last season, his timely hitting won many ballgames for the Los Angeles club. The Dodgers feel that they have a real good prospect with this scrappy infielder.



The Pirates were happy to roll the dice on Michael - a former top-100 prospect they dealt for in 2021. He paid off with a .357 AVG in limited action that year and solid power in '22. On June 23 versus the Cubs, Chavis hit a game-tying homer in the eighth inning. Two frames later, he made a brilliant play to prevent a run preceding his own walk-off single.
