Last year was Solly's first full season with the Cards, though he spent part of the two preceding campaigns with them. In 120 games in 1951, batting a nice .281. Had 118 hits for 160 total bases, and drove in 32 runs. Plays second, short and third. Began in baseball in 1946.
Joe's big bat was used mostly for pinch-hitting chores last season, and he proved to be a terrific clutch hitter. In '53, he was voted the Most Valuable Player in the Texas League and won the Batting Crown with an impressive .332 mark while belting 22 circuit smashes. Starting at Cedar Rapids in '42, he hit .315 and after 3 years in Service won a trial with Cleveland in '47.
Michael singled, walked and scored a run in his MLB debut on April 25, 2023, helping the Dodgers rally from a five-run deficit for an 8-7 victory. The U. of North Carolina alum made fairly quick work of the farm system. In 2022, Busch churned out 70 extra-base hits in the high Minors, earning his second straight MiLB.com Organization All-Star nod.
