Walter William Pierce nicknamed "Billy" is a Detroiter who has done all of his professional ball playing in the eastern half of the United States. He is an enthusiastic bowler whenever he has time to indulge his hobby. After a brief trial with Detroit in 1945 he spent two years with Buffalo, then was traded to the Chicago White Sox. Led. A.L. most S0's 1953 (186). Considered one of the best southpaws in baseball today.



In 2024, Jared and Paul Skenes formed one of the best rookie duos ever. In his first seven starts, Jared whiffed 52 in just 41 innings with a 2.63 ERA.
