George spent most of last season at Louisville where he hit .288 and played on the Inter-League All-Star squad.
Clem divided his time in the Pirate infield in '52 between 2nd Base, Shortstop and 3rd Base. The Pirates drafted him in November of '51 after he led Southern Association shortstops in Fielding. The speedy "pepper-pot" broke the Central League Stolen Base record in '49 when he stote 39 bases. Clem's pro career started in 1946.
After a slow start in '68, Fritz closed with a strong finish and compiled the best earned run average of his AL career. The southpaw was second on the club in shutouts and third in complete games. Fritz has pinpoint control and a curve that drives batters daffy.
