George Earnshaw's hour of glory was brief in the American League but he left a definite mark. Big, strong, "Moose" Earnshaw was one of Connie Mack's big guns on the mound in the years 1929, 1930, and 1931, when they won pennants and twice went on to win the World Series. Earnshaw's major league career lasted only ten years, but in that period he won 127 and lost 93, winning 20 or more games three successive years, 1928 through 1931. He won 19 in 1932. His World Series record shows four wins and three defeats. He struck out twenty in three games in the '31 series.
"Joe" began his professional baseball career with the Flint Club in 1924. He entered the majors in 1931 with the Washington Senators and is now with the Chicago White Sox.
Daniel, who was out of the big leagues for six seasons before Colorado picked him up in 2020, has been an oft-used bullpen piece ever since. On August 13, 2023, he made his 400th career appearance.
