A Dodger Coach since '52, Billy holds the N.L. record for Putouts at 2nd Base with 466 in 1933. During 17 years as a Big League Player, he hit over .300 eight times with marks of .327, .341, .334, .335 and .330 in 1931-35-36-37-43 with the Cubs and Dodgers. Billy managed the Pirates in 1947, Minneapolis in '48 and Richmond in '51.



The switch-hitter led the Yankees in batting last year. Roy topped the club with 89 runs scored, 154 hits, 20 doubles & 62 RBIs. He tied with Horace Clarke with 20 stolen bases.
