Rollie Zeider, infielder of the Chicago Federal League team, was born in Auburn, Ind., November 16, 1886. He started his professional career with Springfield, in the Three Eye League. From there he went to Winnipeg, and was later secured by San Francisco in the Coast League. Zeider next became a member of the Chicago White Sox. He was traded to the New York Americans in 1913, and joined the Chicago Federals early in 1914.
The six foot receiver was acquired from L.A. last winter. Jim's dad, the director of scouting for the Dodgers, had signed his son to a contract in 1962. The 25 year old will see lots of duty in '69.
Tarik set a Tigers rookie record with 164 SOs in 2021, as well as a Major League rookie mark with four or more whiffs in 22 consecutive appearances.
