In the hot glare of the September spotlight. Nico played his best ball. The first three weeks, he created runs 21% better than average with eight SBs. He's a top defensive player.

Side-by-side shots of Javier and a young Gary Sheffield reveal almost identical swings, from the bat wave to the leg kick to the violent finish.
