Brooks' 3,953 Assists at 3rd base set an AL mark. Holds many other records, hit grand-slams 2 straight games, May, 1962.
"Oats" came to the Browns from the White Sox in December of '51. His career started with El Paso in '47 when Joe was only 18. He moved up to San Jose in '48, Oneonta in '49 and after hitting .283 for Birmingham of the Southern Association, he was brought up to the Big Leagues by the White Sox for the '51 season. Joe was used in a utility role by the White Sox. He can play all infield positions.
Started the 1951 season with Dodgers. In 35 games, hitting .226. Finished the campaign with Cincinnati. In 41 games, hitting .320. Had 3 home runs, 1 triple, 9 doubles. In addition to the Dodgers and Reds, Hank has played for the Indians and the Cubs. First hit majors in 1941.
