With the Newark Bears in 1946, Allie played mainly at third base and hit .344. The next season he hit .334 in 110 games and joined the Yankees at the end of the season where he batted .373 in 24 games. He was traded to the Indians for the 1948 season and he hit.310 in 81 games for the World Champions. Spent some time in the Army.
Although Rube hasn't seen too much action with the Dodgers since joining the club in '51, he shares two Major League records. On May 21, 1952 he banged out two hits and scored twice in one inning. Starting with Erwin in '44, he led the I.I.I. League in '46 with a .354 Mark; hit .331 for Nashville in '47 and was brought up by the Cubs in '48.
Osleivis collected multiple hits in four of his first 10 MLB games in 2023, smashing a grand slam for his maiden homer on August 22. Before his call, he tied for third in the International League in triples.
