After compiling a fine 5-1 record for Richmond last season Eli was called up to the Yankees. He won his first start against the Chicago White Sox. A graduate of American Legion ball. Eli broke into pro ball in '53. He won 17 at San Jose in 1955 and missed the 1957 and 1958 seasons while serving in the Army.
Tom has had some big days since he joined the White Sox. He'll never forget May 24, 1967 when he slammed three homers while driving n eight runs against Minnesota.
