Name that player!

"Ducky" Medwick, the St. Louis Cardinal left fielder, is an agressive ball player, of the type from the older days. Like many of his teammates, namely the two Dean brothers, Frank Frisch, Pepper Martin, Leo Durocher, Bill Delancy, he is a spirited athlete and one of the reasons why the Cardinals came from behind the Giants last year to win the pennant and later the world's championship from Detroit in one of the most sensational series since the War. Combining a great throwing arm, sharp hitting and good cruising range in the field he stands a chance to earn the League's "Most Valuable" honor in some future year.

Steve led Buc staff in Wins, Innings and Complete Games pitched in 1972.

Pete Fox, one of the leading outfielders in the American League, in 1938, joined the Detroit Tigers in 1933, coming from the Beaumont Club of the Texas League, with whom he batted .357. He is considered a very timely hitter, and has managed to hit over, or close to, .300 every season in the major leagues. In 1937 he collected 208 hits. Pete was one of the batting stars in the 1925 World Series when he collected 10 hits in 6 games, for a batting average of .385. His 6-year major-league record shows that he has collected 928 hits, in 763 games, for a batting average of .304.
