Hal has 3 brothers who were Major League pitchers - he's the first outfielder. He broke into pro ball in '46 and had his best year in '47 with Nashville, when he led the Southern Association in Hits, stole 22 bases and batted .346. Hal hit .279 in 134 games for the Cubs in '48, his first year in the majors. That year he was knocked unconscious when he ran into a wall chasing a line drive. In 1949 and '50 he fell down to .245 and .235, but raised his batting mark in 1951.

Ken is one of the bright hopes on the Dodger pitching staff, and if he can match his Montreal record for 1954, the Brooklyn brass and fans will be happy. He was in 34 games for the International League team winning 18 and losing 10. He started 29 games and went the route 15 times. He struck out 105 men in 215 innings pitched, and his earned run average was 3.35.

Used mainly against righthand pitchers, Len led the Dodgers in homers in 1968.
