Name that player!

Julius Solters, Browns. A 200 pounder, Solters proved a sensation in the American League in 1935 after being traded from the Red Sox with cash for Oscar Mellilo, second baseman. A second-year man with the Boston club, his great size and deceptive way of running, gave the impression that he was an awkward fielder. Yet, actually, he was both fast and a great fly catcher. His strength gave his drives great distance and he is expected to be one of the leading homerun hitters of the game this year. After being traded by the Red Sox he broke up nearly every game in which he faced his former club with the Browns.

Rylan made a web gem in his first big-league inning. At third base, he dove toward the line to rob Nolan Arenado of extra bases and then sprung up instantly to fire a perfect strike to third base. That sent the game's top fielding third baseman back to the dugout.

Warren was the top pitcher in the N.L. in '53 with the League's best Earned Run Average since '46. Tying for 1st in Victories, he placed 2nd in Complete Games (24), hurled 5 Shutouts, and is 1 of 4 active pitchers with more than 1000 Strikeouts. Warren played only 2 Minor seasons before joining the Braves in '42.
