Last year, he played in 108 games of the Braves, and batted a powerful .318, driving in 21 runs and scoring 40 himself. As an outfielder, he made only 2 errors, with a percentage of .993. Starting as a pitcher, Cooney has been in baseball since 1921. With the exception of three seasons with Brooklyn, he has spent all his major league time with Boston.
