Ferrell caught in over 100 games a year for 11 years, a total of 1806 games in the majors in addition to over 250 in the minors before starting his major league career with the old St. Louis Browns in 1929. He later went to Boston and Washington, back to St. Louis, and Washington a second time. He caught on six straight all-star teams and in two World Series. He is now assistant to the President of the Tigers.



When big Bob really finds the range he'll be one of the most feared sluggers in the American League, as he was in the minor leagues. With the Yankees in 1954, he appeared in 56 games, hitting .260. His 26 hits were good for a total of 47 bases, and included 5 home runs. He batted in 13 runs. He began in 1950 with Kansas City of the American Association, his only other team in baseball. Holds a bachelor of science degree in education from the University of Nebraska.



In his first professional season, Don posted a 23-7 mark while pitching for Santa Barbara and Albuquerque. The following year, the righthander was promoted to the Los Angeles Dodgers and was named the 1966 National League Rookie Pitcher of the Year. Don pitched 7 complete games last season.
