Struck an off-season in 1950. In only 9 games. Not credited with any wins. Charged with 3 losses. First joined the Reds in 1944. Got into 1 game. Then entered military service. Back with Cincinnati in 1947. In 37 games, winning 6 and losing 13. In the 1948 campaign, Kent had a record of 2 and 13. He was kept plenty busy since he participated in a total of 43 games. In 30 games in 1949.
Trea left Washington last July with a share of its leadoff home run record (15), but his speed was just as precious to the Dodgers. His notable 2021 streaks included those for runs (13 games) and hits (16).
Known as the 'Phantom', Roy established himself as one of Baseball's best shortstops when the Redlegs brought him up from Tulsa in '51. He led the N.L. Shortstops in Assists in '52 with 495 and again in '53. Last season he also topped the League in Double Plays with 114. Roy broke into pro ball in '47 and in '48 hit .307 for Tyler.
