Stormin' Gorman Thomas is one of baseball's most exciting performers. He is a premier home run slugger and a gifted defensive outfielder with excellent speed and a fine arm. Originally signed by the Brewers in 1969 when they were the Seattle Pilots, he spent six seasons in the minors and was even briefly traded away to Texas before making the majors. It was a spectacular season at Spokane in 1977 in which he hit .322 with 36 homers and 114 RBI that earned him a shot with the Brewers.
Felipe once again paced the Atlanta attack last season as he topped the club with a .317 batting average, 37 doubles, 5 triples and 210 base-hits.
Buster, starting his 1st season as Red Sox coach, played for 6 Major League Teams. After a 1934 trial with the Cards, he made the way back to the Majors by hitting .331 at Rochester in '36, leading the League in RBI's with 134. Buster batted .295 for the Red Sox in '37, .285 for the Browns in '38 and .297 for the Yanks in '40. In '53 he coached the Redlegs.
