Name that player!

Duane won more games in '52 than he won in his previous 2 seasons in the A.L. as a Browne and Yankee. The son of a former Cincinnati and Detroit Hurler, Duane broke into organized ball with Newark of the International League in '46. He turned in his best record of his career at Portland of the P.C.L. in '48... a 14-11 mark. The Yanks had him up for a short stay in '49 and traded him to the Browns in a 7-player deal in June of '50.

Somewhat surprisingly, Naughton is the third "Packy" to play in the Majors. He spent last September in the Angels rotation after being named their No. 16 prospect at midseason by Baseball America.

In '49 and '50 Andy was among the top 10 sluggers in the National League. He broke into baseball in '40 and was brought up to the Phils in '43. In '49 he hit 2 Homers in 1 inning and 3 Homers in a game, to tie 2 National League Records. In '50 Andy hit a total of 24 round trippers-getting at least 1 in every League park. His best big league batting mark was .288 in '50. He has appeared in 4 World Series games (1950) and 1 All-Star game. The Reds got Andy in December, 1951.
