The 1909 T206 Set received its name from Jefferson Burdick, author of the American Card Catalog. ‘T’ in the T206 name stood for 20th century tobacco issues while ‘206’ was simply a number assigned to it.



In '52, his first full season as a regular in the NL, Roy ranked 3rd in Doubles. A brilliant fielder, he was brought up by the Reds in after hitting .274 for Tulsa and leading the Texas League with 481 Assists. He broke in with Tyler in '47 but played most of that season with Ballinger where he hit .275 and led the League in Fielding. Roy hit. .307 and led the League in Fielding with Tyler in '48. He played for Columbia of the Sally League in '49.
