Roger won 66.4% of his decisions in six seasons with the Yankees, finishing his career with the third-most WAR (138.7) of any pitcher in history. In 2001, he won his sixth of seven Cy Young Awards after going 20-3 with 213 strikeouts for New York.
Had a 10-15 record for the Buccaneers in 1950. In 51 games. Began in the majors with the Cards in 1942 after a great season with their Columbus farm team the year before. Led the League in games won and in strikeouts. Tied for most games pitched. Entered the service in 1944. Rejoined Cards in 1946. Won 15, lost 6, for a league-leading percentage of .714. To Pirates, spring of 1949.
Dick is one of the Dodgers top outfield prospects. He's a good fielder with a strong, accurate throwing arm. In his major league debut for the Dodgers in '51, Dick got 4 hits including a Homer. He began his career in '47 with Santa Barbara. In '49 at Ft. Worth of the Texas League, he hit .310, batted in 114 runs and smashed 23 HR's. The Dodgers called him up after Dick hit .300 for Ft. Worth in '50.
