Name that player!

Formerly a relief pitcher, "Sully" left the Red Sox bull pen last year to take over a starting role. It proved to be one of the most successful Boston experiments since the Tea Party! He led the Sox mound staff in almost every department including Most Shutouts (3) Most Complete Games (11) Best E.R.A. and Victories. Frank joined Boston late in '53 and earned 1 Win.

Red Sox skipper Alex Cora did not need a long look at Enmanuel to find something he liked about the 2022 trade acquisition. "He can hit," Cora says. "I do believe the bat is going to play at the big-league level." It certainly did early. In his first 10 games following his mid-April promotion in 2023, Valdez went 12-for-35 (353) with an .875 OPS.

"Peewee" Reese is a great fielding shortstop. Holds many records that prove his ability. Had an off-season in 1950, as far as batting went. Hit .260, which is 10 to 20 points off his usual pace. In 1949 "Peewee" hit .279. Led the League in runs scored with 132. Hit 16 homers. Batted in 73 runs. Stole 26 bases. Led NL in fielding at short. In Navy 3 years. On 4 All-Star teams.
