In Jim's first season with the Phils in 1964, the ace righthander pitched five shutouts and his second major league no-hitter.



Hurled in relief for Washington in 1950. Had a 5-9 record in 53 games. Showed great promise with Boston in 1941, but was in the service when the next year rolled around. Had a fine season on returning to baseball in 1946. Balanced 17 wins against 9 losses. After winning 2 and losing 3 for the Red Sox in 1949, Mickey was sent to the Senators. He got into 23 games for the Nats. Won 2, lost 12.



Ted joined the Red Sox in '38; he had hit .366 at Minneapolis! In '41 he could have sat out the last game for a .400 average! Instead, he played - and wound up with a .406 average! In '47 he set a 5-year-straight record in Runs Scored! In '46 & '49 he was voted the League's Most Valuable Player! Ted finished the '52 All Star Game after fracturing his elbow!
