With the Cincinnati Reds from 1943 until June, 1949, when traded to the Giants. To Pittsburgh again in 1950. Now with first major-league team the Boston Braves. Last year, Jake played at all four infield positions for the Tigers. The infielder led the American League with 14 triples as a rookie in 1961. Quick-legged Jake swiped 30 bases for Detroit that year.
