Name that player!

Andy began 1968 with Seattle, was brought up to help the Angels bullpen and he pitched so effectively that he was soon in the California starting rotation. The 23 year old righthander pitched a one-hitter vs. Tulsa in his first professional start in 1966. Ask Andy his top thrill and he'll tell you it was signing his first contract!

Most picturesque player in baseball. Has fabulous gate-appeal and high-powered talent to match. Was signed from the Kansas City Monarchs in midsummer of 1948. Finished out the '48 season for the Indians with 6 games won, 1 lost, and 45 strikeouts. Games played: 21, ERA 2.47; pct., .857. Should sizzle into his old stride this year.

Featured in the 1911 Turkey Red baseball card set were a number of generic scenes revealing ballplayers in glorified "action" scenes - titles like "Out At Third" (#43) and "Trying To Catch Him Napping” (#44).
