Name that player!

The "Little Professor," with his mighty throwing arm, is one of the game's best fielders. He can hit, too. Packed 34 doubles into his 1949 average (307). Batted in 60 runs. Dom joined organized baseball in 1937 with San Francisco. There 3 seasons. With Red Sox ever since, except for 3 years with Uncle Sam. Has played in 3 all-star games.

A bigger contract - and a stated desire to escape the oppressive heat in St. Louis - led Young to sign with the Boston Americans of the brand new American League in 1901. He immediately became the new circuit's first star, winning its pitching Triple Crown with 33 wins, 158 strikeouts and a 1.62 ERA. Cy, 34 at the time, would never again log that many victories in a season.

The fleet-footed outfielder was selected as the centerfielder on the NCAA All-Tourney team in 1961. Ron is an outstanding defensive player and has one of the game's strongest and accurate throwing arms. He worked his way up through the Houston farm chain and looked impressive.
