Eddie is one of the League's better utility players. In 51 games in 1950. Hit .250. Began with Trenton in 1944. But, before the season was over, was in the majors with the Dodgers. Has been with them ever since, except for 2 years in the service. During Eddie's diamond career, he has played at second, third and short, and in the outfield. Batted .267 in his best year - 1947.
Lloyd Waner made his debut in baseball two years after his famous brother, with the same club, San Francisco. Started as a regular outfielder for Pittsburgh in 1927, and the first year in the major leagues, scored the most runs in the National League. In 1931, Lloyd accounted for the most hits in the National League, with 214. He has failed to hit above .300 for only two years of his 12 years of major-league ball playing. The name of Lloyd Waner will go down in baseball history with that of his brother as one of the greatest batsmen in baseball. In 12 years of major-league ball playing, he has accounted for 1063 runs, with 2155 hits, for a batting average of .323.
