"Joe" began his professional baseball career with the Frederick Club in 1929. He entered the majors ir 1930 with the Cleveland Indians and is now with the Boston Red Sox.

Hafner continued to mash for Cleveland in 2007, registering his fourth straight season with at least 100 RBI. He homered twice and drove in four runs in a 7-5 win at Minnesota on 9/4.

In 1966 Joe will face the challenge of breaking into the power-packed Minnesota line-up. Though used sparingly in 1965, the young man impressed Mgr. Mele and his teammates with his hustling brand of play. Joe began as an outfielder but The Twins' Instructional School taught him how to play the hot-corner.
