Andy has had a long fine career in the majors, beginning in 1943, at the end of the season, when he came to the Philadelphia Phillies. He divided the next season between the Phillies and Buffalo, then returned to be a regular. He also played the outfield and third base, although he began as a catcher in 1940. He was in 85 games in 1954, and he batted .235. Andy holds both batting and fielding records. He can swat a long ball.

A total of 524 cards are in the 1909 T206 Set but that number can be up for debate.

Willie is the greatest, so say many experts. The National League's Most Valuable Player, Willie won the batting title on the last day of the season with a .345 mark. In his first full season in the majors, he also led in triples with 13. He appeared in 151 games and had 195 hits. Besides the triples he had 33 doubles and 41 homers, and he batted in 110 runs, scoring 119. His catches in the outfield have become a legend, and he has a throwing arm with which runners take no chances.
