Name that player!

Willie believed a ballplayer needed to have a well-rounded game to be great, and perhaps nobody better embodied the five-tool ideal better than he did. The "Say Hey Kid" was named to the MLB All-Star Game in 20 seasons while winning four National League home run crowns and a dozen fielding awards in center. In 1965, he snagged his second NL MVP Award.

Tom donned a Yankee uniforin after 2 seasons of minor league ball. In '49, his 1st year, he won 12 and lost 9 for Ventura of the California League. Next year he won 17 and lost 8 in 28 games for Binghamton. Tommy showed so much at the '51 Yankee Spring Training Camp that the Yankees bought him from their Kansas City farm team. He fanned 3 in a 1951 World Series relief job.

The youngster is touted as a junior Babe Ruth. In his second season in the majors Eddie swatted 47 home runs to win the League's title. He hit 30 homers which set a National League record for most homers on the road in a season. In addition, the shy youngster knocked in 135 runs, had 31 doubles, 8 triples and an average of 302. He lost the slugging title by two-tenths of a point, with a percentage of .6269 to Duke Snider's .6271.
