All around athletic star while in prep school, and also at Iowa University. Starred in baseball, foot- ball and track. Jumped right to the St. Louis Cardinals in 1923. Sent to Syracuse for experience, but was recalled and made good. Is not playing professional ball this year, but in 1932 played 11 games with the St. Louis Cardinals, and 41 games for Rochester in the International League. Batted .311 for Rochester. Holm is 30 years old, 5 feet 9 1⁄2 inches tall, and weighs 165 pounds. Is right handed. Has played practically every position on the diamond.
