An outstanding defensive player, Bobby possesses one of the strongest throwing arms in baseball. He can handle all of the infield positions.



Hurled in relief for Washington in 1950. Had a 5-9 record in 53 games. Showed great promise with Boston in 1941, but was in the service when the next year rolled around. Had a fine season on returning to baseball in 1946. Balanced 17 wins against 9 losses. After winning 2 and losing 3 for the Red Sox in 1949, Mickey was sent to the Senators. He got into 23 games for the Nats. Won 2, lost 12.



In June of '53 the Yankees were on an 18-game winning streak and the Browns on a 14-game losing streak. Duane broke both, beating the Yanks 3-1. Starting at Newark in '46, he won 11 decisions, earning a trial with the Yanks in '49. After being traded to the Browns in '50, he chalked up his best win mark in '52 with 10 victories.
