Amed thrived in 2021 as Francisco Lindor's shortstop successor in Cleveland. He was the only player with six four-hit games, and he went 13-for-13 on steals.

Red Sox skipper Alex Cora did not need a long look at Enmanuel to find something he liked about the 2022 trade acquisition. "He can hit," Cora says. "I do believe the bat is going to play at the big-league level." It certainly did early. In his first 10 games following his mid-April promotion in 2023, Valdez went 12-for-35 (353) with an .875 OPS.

Jim split the 5 season between the Indians and Indianapolis. Strangely enough he had a higher Batting Average with the Indians. He's been playing professionally since '48 when he broke in with Burlington of the Central Association. Jim hit .330 for Spartanburg of the Tri-State League in '49, .321 for Dayton of the Central League in '50 and .299 for Dallas of the Texas League in '51.
