Name that player!

Eddie is a registered dentist, besides being a high grade major league baseball player. He was graduated in 1925 from the University of Pennsyl- vania, where he captained the baseball team for two years. Eddie is a handy man to have on a ball club, as he can play three different infield positions. He has served with the Giants, Braves, Cardi nals and Cubs in the National League, and is now with the New York Yankees. Eddie was born in Johnson City, N.Y. 1902, is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 160 lbs., batting and throwing right handed.

Third year with the Giants. In 1947 he won 21 games, lost 5. He shows the class that made him fook so good to Giant scouts in the PCL. Like most ball players he did his war stuff gladly and effi- ciently. When he's not playing ball he runs a hardware store in Oregon. Last season he was in 42 games for the Polo Grounders and had an 18-12 record with a 3.61 ERA.
