Name that player!

Overhand curve ball pitcher. Cleveland had him once, but let him go. Bet they'd like to get him back now! Phillies grabbed him from Waco, Tex., in 1928 and he's been a big league star ever since. Traded to Dodgers last Winter. Studied to be a school teacher in college in Texas, but was such a success in pitching ranks that he decided to stick to the hurling hill. Born in Jacksonville, Tex., in 1902. Is five feet, nine and one-half inches tall and moves the scales at 160 pounds. Bats and throws right-handed.
