Dick split the '52 season between the Cards, Rochester and Houston. As a starter and reliever with Houston in '51, Dick chalked a 10-2 record and a sensational 0.73 Earned Run Average. The Cards brought him up at the end of the '51 season and Dick, as a reliever, ended up with a 3-3 record in 20 games. An ex-Northwestern student, Dick has been in pro ball since he broke in at Fresno in '47. He had a 15-11 mark at Allentown in '48.



The 1916 Sporting News M101-4 set features stars such as Eddie Collins (#24), Charles Comiskey (#36), Ty Cobb (#38), Sam Crawford (#41), Joe Jackson (#87), Hugh Jennings (#90), Walter Johnson (#91), Babe Ruth (#151), Joe Tinker (#174) and Honus Wagner (#182).



Recovering from a sore shoulder, Gary had a fine season for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1968 as he picked up eight "saves" and four wins. They say Gary is as fast as anyone in the league.
