The biggest thrill of Ed's career was his first major league hit which broke up a 15-inning ballgame vs. the White Sox. At Glendora High School, Ed starred in baseball, football and basketball.



In 1956 Mr. Harridge celebrates his 45th year of outstanding service to Baseball. He has been one of the sport's guiding spirits and has helped make Baseball the great game it is today. Mr. Harridge joined the American League as Secretary to President Ban Johnson in 1911. In 1931, he was elected President and Treasurer of the American League. Through the years his deep love of Baseball has won Mr. Harridge the well earned respect of players, executives and fans everywhere.



One of the pitching aces of the New York Giants, a right hander, 6 feet tall and weighing around 180 pounds. Signed by the New York Giants after leaving St. Lawrence University in 1931; sent to Bridgeport and Rochester for more experience that year. Won five games and lost six for the Giants in 1932, being used to a large extent as a relief pitcher, One of the Big Four in the Giants' sensational showing in 1933. Born in Hinckley, N. Y. in 1911. Has plenty of smoke on his fast ball.
