Lynn enjoyed a fine rookie campaign for the Red Sox in 1972 and has a bright future ahead of him. He was a great all-around athlete at Grambling, La. High School where he earned 16 letters in baseball, football, basketball and tennis.. Boston selected him 3rd in the 1968 Free Agent Draft. He led Carolina League in K's, 1970.

Don had a good year at the plate in '58 and there are indications that this year will be even better for him. On the Japanese tour after the '58 season, he hit a cool .385, Don led the N. L. in Assists and Double Plays in 1957.
