Rick was acquired by the Celtics from the Pacers after playing in 43 games at Indiana last season. An outstanding youngster with a fine future in the NBA, he contributed 132 Assists, 48 Steals and 15 Blocked Shots during his rookie campaign. Rick shot at least 54% from the field in all 4 years at Kentucky. He holds the school record for career Field Goal Percentage with 58.1%.

In 1991-92, Keefe set school single-season records for both points (734) and rebounds (355). and he finished his collegiate career as the all-time Cardinal leader in field goal percentage (.600).
