As a rookie in 1964, Tony led the A.L. in batting! The following year, he defied the sophomore jinx and repeated as the A.L. batting champ.

Dick gets a chance to blaze his fast ball in the A.L. this year, after a terrific season at Atlanta in '54. Originally signed by the Braves, he saw service with Evansville, Hartford and Milwaukee, before winning 11 games for Atlanta in '53. Dick joined the Tigers for Spring Training '54 and was sent down.
