Name that player!

Daniel played well for Buffalo in 2002-03, especially near the end of the season. He had four multi-point games during a five-game stretch (March 28-April 5).

The brother of mammoth Detroit Red Wings power center, Keith Primeau, Wayne is also an ultra-competitive big man who skates well and has a good offensive upside. Primeau's game, like many young power player's, may need some more refining on the farm, but it shouldn't be too long before he is busting down a slot and setting up in the crease of an NHL team in a town near you.

It's almost ciche to state that goaltending wins championships in the NHL, but that fact was never more clear than in last season's playoffs. The Devils rode the play of their rookie netminder all the way to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Martin Brodeur was a key to the Devils' success all season. He finished Second in GAA, fourth in save percentage (.915), was named the goaltender for the '93-94 NHL/Upper Deck All-Rookie Team and received the Calder Memorial Trophy for his efforts last season.

Dominik Hasek
Most NHL observers simply ran out of adjectives to describe Buffalo's Dominik Hasek this past season as the All-Star netminder become the first player in league history to simultaneously win both the Hart and Vezina Trophies in successive compaigns. "The Dominator" was in rare form on March 15 against Pittsburgh when he notched his 30th career shutout en route to amassing a the league's best total for 1997-98.
