Maple Leafs Card of the Day

Frank Mahovlich
Nicknamed the “Big M." Frank is such a natural hockey player that fans at times take him for granted. Possessing one of the hardest shots in hockey, Frank reached the 250-goal mark in less than 9 seasons. Destined to become one of the all-time greats in hockey.

Name that player!

Small in stature, Dave plays hockey with an "all-out" effort, often compared to Henri Richard of the Canadiens. The N.H.L. honoured Dave after Stanley Cup Finals by awarding him the Conn Smythe Trophy for being the most valuable player in the entire playoffs.

Last amateur club: Toronto Marlboros (Jrs.). Also played for Windsor Spitfires & Barrie Flyers. Starred for cup-winning Guelph Biltmores whom he joined for playoffs last year. Completing the tremendous jump from junior to top pro ranks as a Leaf regular this season.

Rated as one of the league's best rushing defensemen, Morrison is noted for his accurate shots on goal and is considered a threat whenever he crosses an opponent's blueline. Morrison can miss an oncoming forward and still get back in front of the net to check him again. Is good on clearing loose pucks and can burst out of his own end like a jet.
