Patriots Card of the Day

Jim Colclough
Jim got off to a slow start last year because of injuries, but quickly rounded into top shape. For the fourth season in a row, Jim has led the Patriots in pass receiving. Coach Mike Holovak first saw Jim play when he I coached him at Boston College. Though Jim played in the Canadian Football League for a time, Holovak kept a close watch on the halfback and brought him to the Patriots.

Name that player!

Dick played for New York before joining the Patriots just prior to the opening of the '62 season. An All-League cornerman with the Titans, he has continued in that position with Boston. Dick earned quite a name for himself during his days at Brigham Young University. The hustling cornerman was twice named to his All-League team. A real hustler, Dick is always a threat at intercepting an enemy pass.

Wes came back from a major knee injury to go Pro Bowling for a third straight season and become the first player ever to lead the Patriots in catches for a fourth year in a row. His 432 since 2007 top the NFL.

Often called The AFL's "Golden Boy," Gino led the circuit in scoring last season. He holds the A.F.L. all-time scoring mark with 155 points in 1964.

Back to the Front! Patriots card back du jour...

Deion Branch
In his first NFL game, against the Steelers on September 9, 2002, Deion showed he can make big plays in ways other than catching passes. "It's not all about scoring touchdowns," said Branch after his emphatic block of safety Lee Flowers enabled teammate Donald Hayes to reach the end zone. "You have to help your teammates because they're going to help you out." Deion is only 5-9, 185, but his block packed a wallop. I didn't think hit him that hard, but, you know, I hit him," he added.
