Lions Card of the Day

Dorne Dibble
Dorne won All-American honors at Michigan State for his great defensive playing. When he came to Detroit he was switched to offensive end and has been a star pass catcher ever since. His shifty running and amazing ability to fake out pass defenders makes him almost unstoppable.

Name that player!

An All American at Texas in '52, Harley has developed into one of the finest blockers in the N.F.L. He has terrific speed and is a top notch competitor with a will - and ability - to win.

Detroit fans appreciate Harley as one of the club's real veterans. While he is recognized as one of the game's top offensive players, Harley starred on defense during his college days.

A powerfully built youngster who is at home at any position in the Lions' line is Charlie Ane, a former USC star. Regular offensive tackle in '54 but may be switched to center for '55 campaign. Played in 1953 Rose Bowl as Trojans downed Wisconsin. Native of Honolulu, Hawaii. Key performer in Detroit's '55 rebuilding plans. Married.
