Lions Card of the Day

Lou Creekmur
When Lou sets his sights for a block, enemy players prepare themselves for a human avalanche. Packing about the most power in the League, Lou has been picked for 5 Pro Bowl games and has won All-Pro Honors four straight years. Although offensive tackle is his regular spot, Lou can handle both guard positions with ease and has been called upon to add strength to the Lions' defense when Detroit is putting up a goal line stand.

An elusive end, Jim was the top pass-catcher for the champion Lions last season. One of his catches went all the way for a 65-yard TD. He can either buttonhook back for a quick pass or flare out long for payoff pitches.

John enjoyed his best year in the pros in '64, besting his '63 record. Age wears well on him. A good pass blocker, he per forms well in a running game, too.
