Kings Card of the Day

Davion Mitchell
Star scorers have off nights. It's just the nature of the game. If you step back and look at the bigger picture, though, you might see a pattern. That pattern is rooted in Mitchell, who takes great pride in his defense and has helped send a string of top players sputtering and spiraling their way to off nights.

Name that player!

One of the most exciting rookies in the league, Williams can do everything. The 6'8" guard-forward led the ACC in scoring as a senior, pumping in 26.8 points per game. He also contributed 5.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.1 steals per contest. Williams will back up both Lionel Simmons and Mitch Richmond as a rookie, giving the Kings a uniquely versatile three-player, "2-3" rotation.

One of top rookie shot-blockers in league...Led Kings in blocked shots in 1991...Scored career-high 20 points against Golden State 1/3/91...Set Temple record with 124 blocks his junior season...Led Owls in field goal percentage as a junior.

Jones was originally selected by the Hornets 34th overall in 2023. He was then dealt to Boston, who flipped his rights to the Kings. His busy night ended up working out, as he landed in the perfect place to showcase his stellar scoring and pristine passing.

Dwayne Schintzius
Big, brawny and boisterous, Schintzius came to Sacramento, along with a second-round draft pick, when the Kings shipped Antoine Carr to San Antonio. Before serving as David Robinson's backup last season, he averaged 14.8 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 blocked shots in 110 games over four years with the University of Florida.
