Name that player!

The Kings have played in the East (Rochester Royals, 1948-57; Cincinnati Royals, 1957-72) and the West (Sacramento, 1985-present) with a stop in the Midwest in between (Kansas City-Omaha Kings, 1972-75; Kansas City Kings, 1975-85). The only NBA Championship in the franchise's 44-year history came in 1951, when the Royals beat the Knicks 4-3. DID YOU KNOW? The Kings set the NBA standard for points in an overtime period with 24 against the Utah Jazz on March 17, 1990. No one has ever scored 50 points in Arco Arena. Entering 1992-93, the Kings had sold out their last 288 home contests, the third-longest streak in the NBA. SCORECARD. In a January 6, 1951, matchup with the Indianapolis Olympians, the Rochester Royals took the game to an NBA-record six overtimes before losing 75-73.

Funderburke, a rugged-rebounding power forward from Ohio State, has spent the last three seasons playing overseas. He was the Kings' workhorse in the 1997-98 pre-season, leading the team in minutes per gome (24.3) and scoring overage (13.9).

A microwave coming off the bench, Monk doesn't need long to heat up once he checks in for the Kings. The Warriors found that out firsthand in the 2023 NBA Playoffs, when the veteran played 29 minutes as a reserve and erupted for 32 points in Game 1. The scoring onslaught helped power Sacramento to a 126-123 win.

Walt Williams
One of the most exciting rookies in the league, Williams can do everything. The 6'8" guard-forward led the ACC in scoring as a senior, pumping in 26.8 points per game. He also contributed 5.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.1 steals per contest. Williams will back up both Lionel Simmons and Mitch Richmond as a rookie, giving the Kings a uniquely versatile three-player, "2-3" rotation.
